LAUREN AKA Queen IS A Justice Advocate , Public Speaker & CAREER BROADCASTER FOR 25 + YEARS
WDRB Media Now: More Than a Station—
A Level-Up Experience in Music, Knowledge & Empowerment!
Black culture is the root of America’s greatest contributions, yet it has been misrepresented for far too long—in status, historical narratives, and even in how our Rooted American (often labeled as Black) music is presented. Few people realize that the collective term "American Indians" was later reclassified under the statuses Black, Negro, and Mulatto—meaning that the majority of us are American-American, not African American. Through the Dred Scott decision, American Americans were deliberately misclassified as Black/African American, relegating us to the blanket status of property.
Despite these legal barriers, Black culture’s soulful rhythms and historical narratives emerged from the struggles of enslavement and being prisoners of war. We celebrate our music and its deep connection to the laws that both oppressed and freed us. From the music that moves us to the information that educates, entertains, inspires, and motivates, it’s time to reclaim our cultural legacy and level up.
Music, Culture & Truth All in One Place
Our playlists and shows cover a vast range—from soul, hip-hop, jazz, and R&B—highlighting the sounds that have shaped America, our people, and our culture. We bring you informative, entertaining, and empowering content that connects the truth of our history to the music that tells our story.
But WDRB Media is more than music—we dive deep into the complex relationship between Black culture and justice. Most importantly, we explore how to correct past misclassifications by understanding legal definitions, self-empowerment strategies, and engagement—helping you transition from a property status to a recognized human status. That’s not just knowledge; that’s a journey—and that’s why you tune into our shows.
Travel Like a Boss: Restoration & Self
Because this journey can be overwhelming, we also provide opportunities for relaxation and restoration. Our Travel Like a Boss program connects you with top travel advisors, exclusive promotions, and insider knowledge on how to travel smart, travel well, and travel like a boss—because self-care is essential for restoring and empowering American Americans.
Tune in. Level up. Own your legacy.
